Why does water boil at 100°C but H₂S at −60°C? Both are Group 16 hydrides — but only water forms hydrogen bonds. Visualise the H-bond network in 3D.

Intermolecular forces (weakest→strongest): London/dispersion < dipole-dipole < H-bonding.
H-bonding: only N–H…N/O, O–H…N/O, F–H…F. Not C–H.
